Artist Statement
Philosophy
As an artist, I love to explore the outdoors and I'm very familiar with the human figure having been a massage therapist and Chinese medicine practitioner for over twenty years. My work is driven by a desire for people to be in touch with nature and their bodies more.
I'm inspired by both Impressionism and Fauvism style. One might see vivid colors, spontaneous lines, and fierce brushstrokes reflecting the Fauvism movement in one of my paintings. Then in another piece I might have more of an Impressionist feel with short, quick brush strokes and emphasis on light.
Through my art, I aim to express my emotions freely and bring awareness to the splendor and beauty all around us .
